Grille lock replacement and upgrades in Llanelli: what will it cost?
Most grille lock replacements in Llanelli cost £150 to £354 including VAT (£125 to £295 plus VAT) per lock fitted. Upgrades such as quick-release or restricted-key cylinders are priced before work goes ahead.
Grille lock replacement means fitting a new cylinder, lock body or complete lock box to an existing security grille. It is the quick fix for lost keys, worn or seized locks and moving into a property with unknown keys, and a chance to upgrade to a stronger or quick-release lock.

What the rules say in Wales
Grilles in rented homes
Under the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016, landlords must keep dwellings fit for human habitation, which takes fire hazards into account. Grilles over windows a contract-holder may need for escape should open from inside without a key.
Bedroom and escape windows
Wales has its own Approved Documents under the Building Regulations. Approved Document B for Wales sets out escape window provisions for dwellings broadly in line with England's, including minimum opening sizes. We only fit grilles over escape windows with a keyless internal release.
