Repair visits in Llanelli start from £174 including VAT (£145 plus VAT), and most repairs cost £174 to £594 including VAT (£145 to £495 plus VAT) including parts. The visit price is confirmed before we attend and parts are agreed before work goes ahead.
Security grille repairs put a stiff, jammed, bent or broken grille back into proper working order. Typical faults are worn bottom wheels, bent or dirty tracks, broken scissor links or rivets, a grille that has dropped out of line, or a lock that no longer engages.
What we look at
- Roller grille spring and motor faults
- Replacement wheels, runners and guides
- Lock adjustment, repair or replacement
- Bent bars and leaves straightened where possible
- Track cleaning, realignment and replacement
- Diagnosis of stiff, jammed and off-track grilles
Visits in Llanelli and nearby
We arrange security grille repairs visits across Llanelli and the SA15 postcode district, and in nearby Gorseinon (5 miles), Swansea (10 miles) and Ammanford.
South-west Wales is largely rural, with stone and rendered terraces in towns such as Llanelli, Carmarthen and Haverfordwest and many holiday properties on the coast.
This work suits:
- Roller grilles that will not open or close
- Old grilles in rented or newly bought properties
- Grilles damaged in an attempted break-in
- Grilles with lost or broken keys
Before the visit
Make it safe first
After a break-in attempt, the first priority is making the opening secure.
Repair or replace
If the frame is sound, repair is usually best. Heavily corroded or badly bent grilles are often better replaced.
What the rules say in Wales
Electric roller grilles
Electric grilles need a suitable supply wired to BS 7671, with notifiable domestic work covered by the Welsh Building Regulations. Powered grilles should have working safety devices and regular maintenance.
Grilles across exits in business premises
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 applies in Wales, including to the common parts of blocks of flats and HMOs. The responsible person must keep escape routes and exits available and easy to open while people are present, so a grille across an exit should be open whenever the premises are occupied.
How it works
- Describe the fault and send a photo
- Visit price confirmed
- Diagnosis on site
- Parts agreed, then repaired
