Bespoke security grilles in Armagh

How much should I budget for bespoke security grilles in Armagh?

Bespoke security grilles in Armagh typically cost £474 to £3,594 including VAT (£395 to £2,995 plus VAT) per opening, supplied and fitted. Use the quote tool for a guide figure, then we survey and confirm a fixed price.

A bespoke security grille is designed and fabricated for one particular opening, such as an arched window, a curved bay, a very large screen or a period building where a standard grille would look wrong. It is measured on site, drawn up and made to suit.

What to think about first

Budget

Decorative work costs more than plain bars. We can price plain and decorative options side by side.

Lead time

Bespoke grilles take longer than standard ones because each is drawn and made individually.

Consents and safety: Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland

Listed buildings and conservation areas

Listed buildings in Northern Ireland need listed building consent for works affecting their character, with the council deciding and the Department for Communities' Historic Environment Division advising. Conservation areas bring extra scrutiny of external changes.

Bedroom and escape windows

Fire safety in new building work in Northern Ireland is covered by the Building Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012 and Technical Booklet E. Where a room relies on a window for escape, nothing fitted over it should stop it being used. We only fit grilles over escape windows with a keyless internal release.

Bespoke security grilles in Armagh: questions

Which areas near Armagh do you cover?

We can arrange work in Armagh and in nearby Portadown (10 miles), Dungannon (12 miles) and Craigavon (13 miles). Dates depend on installer availability.

Can a grille be designed for a listed building?

Yes. Slim sections, matched colours and minimal fixings help, but listed building consent is still needed for works that affect the building's character.

Can bespoke grilles still be retractable?

Yes, within limits. Retractable grilles need straight tracks, so curved or arched parts are usually fixed.

Can you copy an existing grille design?

We can make a grille in a similar style for a matching window. We do not copy other firms' registered designs.
