Patio and bifold door grilles in Pembroke Dock: what will it cost?
Budget £1,074 to £2,994 including VAT (£895 to £2,495 plus VAT) per set of doors for patio and bifold door grilles in Pembroke Dock, supplied and fitted. Size, number of leaves, colour and access all move the price, which is fixed in writing after the survey.
A patio door grille is a wide retractable grille fitted inside sliding patio or bifold doors. Closed, it protects a large glazed opening that is often out of sight at the back of the house; open, it folds into slim stacks so the view and access are unaffected.

Getting the right patio door grille for your building
Where it parks
Bifold doors stack their own leaves to one side; the grille stack should not fight them.
Colour
Anthracite grilles sit quietly against grey aluminium frames.
What the rules say in Wales
Listed buildings and conservation areas
Listed buildings in Wales need listed building consent for works affecting their character, decided by the local planning authority with Cadw's involvement where required. Conservation areas bring extra scrutiny of external changes. Check with the council before ordering.
Bedroom and escape windows
Wales has its own Approved Documents under the Building Regulations. Approved Document B for Wales sets out escape window provisions for dwellings broadly in line with England's, including minimum opening sizes. We only fit grilles over escape windows with a keyless internal release.

Patio and bifold door grilles in Pembroke Dock: questions
Do you cover Haverfordwest as well as Pembroke Dock?
Yes. As well as Pembroke Dock, we can arrange surveys in nearby Haverfordwest, Carmarthen and Llanelli, and elsewhere in Dyfed.
Will a grille get in the way of my bifold doors?
No. We plan the stack so the bifold leaves and the grille fold to positions that do not clash.
Do patio grilles block the view?
When open, only a slim stack at each side. When closed, the lattice is open enough to see the garden clearly.
Can I walk over the grille track?
Yes. Low-profile tracks are a few millimetres high, and recessed tracks sit flush with the floor.
