How much should I budget for French door grilles in Banbridge?
As a guide, French door grilles in Banbridge cost £954 to £2,034 including VAT (£795 to £1,695 plus VAT) per pair of doors, supplied and fitted. The exact figure depends on size, type, finish and locking, and is confirmed in writing after the free survey.
French door grilles are usually a pair of retractable grilles that fold to each side of the doors and meet in the centre, where they lock together. They protect the glazing and the meeting stiles, which are the weak point of many French doors.

What to think about first
One side or both
A centre-meeting pair lets you open one side for everyday use.
Upper floors
A grille behind Juliet balcony doors needs to keep any required escape route usable.
Consents and safety: Northern Ireland
Grilles inside the glass
A grille fitted inside the glass does not normally need planning permission in Northern Ireland, as it does not materially change the outside of the building. If the building is listed, listed building consent may still be needed.
Bedroom and escape windows
Fire safety in new building work in Northern Ireland is covered by the Building Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012 and Technical Booklet E. Where a room relies on a window for escape, nothing fitted over it should stop it being used. We only fit grilles over escape windows with a keyless internal release.
