How much should I budget for patio and bifold door grilles in Yeadon?
As a guide, patio and bifold door grilles in Yeadon cost £1,074 to £2,994 including VAT (£895 to £2,495 plus VAT) per set of doors, supplied and fitted. The exact figure depends on size, type, finish and locking, and is confirmed in writing after the free survey.
A patio door grille is a wide retractable grille fitted inside sliding patio or bifold doors. Closed, it protects a large glazed opening that is often out of sight at the back of the house; open, it folds into slim stacks so the view and access are unaffected.

Usage

Track
A low-profile track keeps the threshold easy to walk over. Recessed tracks need a little floor work.
Consents and safety: England
Grilles inside the glass
A grille fitted inside the glass does not normally need planning permission, because it does not materially change how the building looks from outside. If the building is listed, listed building consent may still be needed.
Listed buildings and conservation areas
Listed buildings need listed building consent for works that affect their character, which can include internal grilles and their fixings. In conservation areas, councils look closely at anything fitted to the outside. We recommend speaking to the council's conservation officer before ordering.

Patio and bifold door grilles in Yeadon: questions
Can you survey in Yeadon and nearby towns?
Yes. Surveys in Yeadon, Guiseley, Shipley and elsewhere in West Yorkshire are booked around installer availability.
Do patio grilles block the view?
When open, only a slim stack at each side. When closed, the lattice is open enough to see the garden clearly.
Will a grille get in the way of my bifold doors?
No. We plan the stack so the bifold leaves and the grille fold to positions that do not clash.
How long does fitting take?
A typical set of patio doors takes half a day once the grille is made.
