How much do patio and bifold door grilles cost in Aberystwyth?
Budget £1,074 to £2,994 including VAT (£895 to £2,495 plus VAT) per set of doors for patio and bifold door grilles in Aberystwyth, supplied and fitted. Size, number of leaves, colour and access all move the price, which is fixed in writing after the survey.
A patio door grille is a wide retractable grille fitted inside sliding patio or bifold doors. Closed, it protects a large glazed opening that is often out of sight at the back of the house; open, it folds into slim stacks so the view and access are unaffected.

- Balcony doors in flats
- Garden room and extension openings
Things to decide before you order
Colour
Anthracite grilles sit quietly against grey aluminium frames.
Where it parks
Bifold doors stack their own leaves to one side; the grille stack should not fight them.
Rules that apply in Wales
Bedroom and escape windows
Wales has its own Approved Documents under the Building Regulations. Approved Document B for Wales sets out escape window provisions for dwellings broadly in line with England's, including minimum opening sizes. We only fit grilles over escape windows with a keyless internal release.
Grilles inside the glass
A grille fitted inside the glass does not normally need planning permission in Wales, as it does not materially change the outside of the building. If the building is listed, listed building consent may still be needed.

How long does fitting take?
A typical set of patio doors takes half a day once the grille is made.
Can the grille be fitted outside the patio doors?
