How much should I budget for patio and bifold door grilles in Newry?
Budget £1,074 to £2,994 including VAT (£895 to £2,495 plus VAT) per set of doors for patio and bifold door grilles in Newry, supplied and fitted. Size, number of leaves, colour and access all move the price, which is fixed in writing after the survey.
A patio door grille is a wide retractable grille fitted inside sliding patio or bifold doors. Closed, it protects a large glazed opening that is often out of sight at the back of the house; open, it folds into slim stacks so the view and access are unaffected.

- White, black, anthracite or RAL
- Multi-leaf grilles for openings up to several metres
- Optional extra locking points for wide spans

What to think about first
Where it parks
Bifold doors stack their own leaves to one side; the grille stack should not fight them.
Track
A low-profile track keeps the threshold easy to walk over. Recessed tracks need a little floor work.
Consents and safety: Northern Ireland
Bedroom and escape windows
Fire safety in new building work in Northern Ireland is covered by the Building Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012 and Technical Booklet E. Where a room relies on a window for escape, nothing fitted over it should stop it being used. We only fit grilles over escape windows with a keyless internal release.
Listed buildings and conservation areas
Listed buildings in Northern Ireland need listed building consent for works affecting their character, with the council deciding and the Department for Communities' Historic Environment Division advising. Conservation areas bring extra scrutiny of external changes.

Patio and bifold door grilles in Newry: questions
Which areas near Newry do you cover?
We can arrange work in Newry and in nearby Banbridge (12 miles), Armagh (17 miles) and Portadown (18 miles). Dates depend on installer availability.
Can the grille be fitted outside the patio doors?
It can, but inside is usual because the grille is protected and the outside of the house stays the same.
Can I walk over the grille track?
Yes. Low-profile tracks are a few millimetres high, and recessed tracks sit flush with the floor.
Will a grille get in the way of my bifold doors?
No. We plan the stack so the bifold leaves and the grille fold to positions that do not clash.
