How much should I budget for patio and bifold door grilles in Larne?
Budget £1,074 to £2,994 including VAT (£895 to £2,495 plus VAT) per set of doors for patio and bifold door grilles in Larne, supplied and fitted. Size, number of leaves, colour and access all move the price, which is fixed in writing after the survey.
A patio door grille is a wide retractable grille fitted inside sliding patio or bifold doors. Closed, it protects a large glazed opening that is often out of sight at the back of the house; open, it folds into slim stacks so the view and access are unaffected.

What to think about first
Where it parks
Bifold doors stack their own leaves to one side; the grille stack should not fight them.
Usage
If you open the doors every day, ask for a lighter-action grille with smooth runners.
Consents and safety: Northern Ireland
Listed buildings and conservation areas
Listed buildings in Northern Ireland need listed building consent for works affecting their character, with the council deciding and the Department for Communities' Historic Environment Division advising. Conservation areas bring extra scrutiny of external changes.
Bedroom and escape windows
Fire safety in new building work in Northern Ireland is covered by the Building Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012 and Technical Booklet E. Where a room relies on a window for escape, nothing fitted over it should stop it being used. We only fit grilles over escape windows with a keyless internal release.

Patio and bifold door grilles in Larne: questions
Which areas near Larne do you cover?
We can arrange work in Larne and in nearby Carrickfergus (10 miles), Newtownabbey (14 miles) and Bangor (15 miles). Dates depend on installer availability.
Can I walk over the grille track?
Yes. Low-profile tracks are a few millimetres high, and recessed tracks sit flush with the floor.
Will a grille get in the way of my bifold doors?
No. We plan the stack so the bifold leaves and the grille fold to positions that do not clash.
How long does fitting take?
A typical set of patio doors takes half a day once the grille is made.
