What is the price of patio and bifold door grilles in Truro?
Most patio and bifold door grilles in Truro fall within £1,074 to £2,994 including VAT (£895 to £2,495 plus VAT) per set of doors for supply and fitting. We confirm a fixed price in writing after a free survey, before anything is ordered.
A patio door grille is a wide retractable grille fitted inside sliding patio or bifold doors. Closed, it protects a large glazed opening that is often out of sight at the back of the house; open, it folds into slim stacks so the view and access are unaffected.

- Locks operable from inside
- Works with sliding, lift-and-slide and bifold doors
- Matched to aluminium, uPVC or timber frames

Questions we will ask at the survey
Track
A low-profile track keeps the threshold easy to walk over. Recessed tracks need a little floor work.
Usage
If you open the doors every day, ask for a lighter-action grille with smooth runners.
Planning and safety in England
Grilles inside the glass
A grille fitted inside the glass does not normally need planning permission, because it does not materially change how the building looks from outside. If the building is listed, listed building consent may still be needed.
Listed buildings and conservation areas
Listed buildings need listed building consent for works that affect their character, which can include internal grilles and their fixings. In conservation areas, councils look closely at anything fitted to the outside. We recommend speaking to the council's conservation officer before ordering.

Patio and bifold door grilles in Truro: questions
Do you cover Falmouth as well as Truro?
Yes. As well as Truro, we can arrange surveys in nearby Falmouth, Redruth and Newquay, and elsewhere in Cornwall.
How long does fitting take?
A typical set of patio doors takes half a day once the grille is made.
Will a grille get in the way of my bifold doors?
No. We plan the stack so the bifold leaves and the grille fold to positions that do not clash.
Can I walk over the grille track?
Yes. Low-profile tracks are a few millimetres high, and recessed tracks sit flush with the floor.
