How much do patio and bifold door grilles cost in Colwyn Bay?
As a guide, patio and bifold door grilles in Colwyn Bay cost £1,074 to £2,994 including VAT (£895 to £2,495 plus VAT) per set of doors, supplied and fitted. The exact figure depends on size, type, finish and locking, and is confirmed in writing after the free survey.
A patio door grille is a wide retractable grille fitted inside sliding patio or bifold doors. Closed, it protects a large glazed opening that is often out of sight at the back of the house; open, it folds into slim stacks so the view and access are unaffected.

Rules that apply in Wales
Listed buildings and conservation areas
Listed buildings in Wales need listed building consent for works affecting their character, decided by the local planning authority with Cadw's involvement where required. Conservation areas bring extra scrutiny of external changes. Check with the council before ordering.
Grilles inside the glass
A grille fitted inside the glass does not normally need planning permission in Wales, as it does not materially change the outside of the building. If the building is listed, listed building consent may still be needed.

How long does fitting take?
A typical set of patio doors takes half a day once the grille is made.
Can I walk over the grille track?
Yes. Low-profile tracks are a few millimetres high, and recessed tracks sit flush with the floor.
Will a grille get in the way of my bifold doors?
No. We plan the stack so the bifold leaves and the grille fold to positions that do not clash.
