Internal security grilles in Peebles

What is the price of internal security grilles in Peebles?

Budget £595 to £1,995 plus VAT (£714 to £2,394 inc VAT) per opening for internal security grilles in Peebles, supplied and fitted. Size, number of leaves, colour and access all move the price, which is fixed in writing after the survey.

Internal security grilles divide a building into zones. Fitted across corridors, stockroom doors, cash offices and server rooms, they keep valuable areas locked off from the rest of the building after hours, or from visitors and staff who do not need access during the day.

Questions we will ask at the survey

Escape routes

Grilles across corridors that are escape routes need careful management and should be shown in your fire risk assessment.

Partition strength

A grille is only as strong as what it is fixed to; stud walls may need reinforcement.

Planning and safety in Scotland

Scotland

Grilles across exits in business premises

In Scotland, the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006 make the duty holder keep escape routes and exits available and easy to open while people are present. A grille across an exit should be open whenever the premises are occupied.

Listed buildings and conservation areas

Listed buildings in Scotland need listed building consent for works affecting their character, decided by the council, with Historic Environment Scotland consulted on some cases. Conservation areas bring extra scrutiny of external changes. Check with the council before ordering.
