How much should I budget for grille lock replacement in Craigavon?
Most grille lock replacements in Craigavon cost £150 to £354 including VAT (£125 to £295 plus VAT) per lock fitted. Upgrades such as quick-release or restricted-key cylinders are priced before work goes ahead.
Grille lock replacement means fitting a new cylinder, lock body or complete lock box to an existing security grille. It is the quick fix for lost keys, worn or seized locks and moving into a property with unknown keys, and a chance to upgrade to a stronger or quick-release lock.

Things to think about
Escape windows

Like for like or upgrade
If the grille is sound, a better cylinder is a cheap upgrade.
Consents and safety: Northern Ireland
Grilles in rented homes
Private landlords in Northern Ireland have fitness and safety duties under the Private Tenancies (Northern Ireland) Order 2006, as amended by the Private Tenancies Act (Northern Ireland) 2022. Grilles over windows a tenant may need for escape should open from inside without a key.
Bedroom and escape windows
Fire safety in new building work in Northern Ireland is covered by the Building Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012 and Technical Booklet E. Where a room relies on a window for escape, nothing fitted over it should stop it being used. We only fit grilles over escape windows with a keyless internal release.
