How much should I budget for French door grilles in Carmarthen?
Budget £954 to £2,034 including VAT (£795 to £1,695 plus VAT) per pair of doors for French door grilles in Carmarthen, supplied and fitted. Size, number of leaves, colour and access all move the price, which is fixed in writing after the survey.
French door grilles are usually a pair of retractable grilles that fold to each side of the doors and meet in the centre, where they lock together. They protect the glazing and the meeting stiles, which are the weak point of many French doors.

What to think about first
Upper floors
A grille behind Juliet balcony doors needs to keep any required escape route usable.
One side or both
A centre-meeting pair lets you open one side for everyday use.
Consents and safety: Wales
Grilles inside the glass
A grille fitted inside the glass does not normally need planning permission in Wales, as it does not materially change the outside of the building. If the building is listed, listed building consent may still be needed.
Bedroom and escape windows
Wales has its own Approved Documents under the Building Regulations. Approved Document B for Wales sets out escape window provisions for dwellings broadly in line with England's, including minimum opening sizes. We only fit grilles over escape windows with a keyless internal release.
