How much do bi-folding security gates cost in Brecon?
Budget £954 to £2,634 including VAT (£795 to £2,195 plus VAT) per opening for bi-folding security gates in Brecon, supplied and fitted. Size, number of leaves, colour and access all move the price, which is fixed in writing after the survey.
A bi-folding security gate is made of hinged leaves of vertical bars that fold against each other as they slide along a top track. It covers wide openings like a retractable grille but folds into fewer, flatter panels with no scissor lattice.

Fitting in Brecon and nearby
Brecon is about 39 miles from Newtown, the main centre for Powys. We can survey and fit across the LD3 district and in nearby places such as Merthyr Tydfil and Ebbw Vale.
Powys is the most rural part of Wales, with stone-built market towns such as Brecon, Newtown and Llandrindod Wells and many remote properties.
Typical places for this kind of grille include:
- Wide internal openings
- Loading doors and goods-in
- Office receptions and showrooms
- Garden room and orangery openings
Things to decide before you order
Floor guide
A bottom guide keeps the leaves aligned. Recessed guides keep the floor flush.
Infill
Add mesh or solid panels where you want to stop reach-through or hide the area behind.
Rules that apply in Wales
Grilles inside the glass
A grille fitted inside the glass does not normally need planning permission in Wales, as it does not materially change the outside of the building. If the building is listed, listed building consent may still be needed.
Grilles across exits in business premises
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 applies in Wales, including to the common parts of blocks of flats and HMOs. The responsible person must keep escape routes and exits available and easy to open while people are present, so a grille across an exit should be open whenever the premises are occupied.
